Part of the public program accompanying 'BLAZE: people made known'. Join artist Elvis Richardson in discussion with curator, Lee Kinsella.

Elvis Richardson collaborated with Virginia Fraser to present a wry commentary on the current situation of women artists on the cover pages of a fictitious FEMMO magazine. The combination of photographic portraiture with incisive text results in larger-than-life-sized broadsheet covers that are blatant and unapologetic provocations. The artists insert themselves and their peers into the genre of the glossy art magazine as a playful assertion of the right to this space and visibility.
